About Impact a Hero
For veterans with large amounts of shrapnel still in their bodies, severe burns, metal prosthetics, and post-traumatic stress disorder, getting through a security screening and the normal commercial-aviation process can be challenging and embarrassing. Due to their injuries, many veterans also cannot travel via automobile.

The video tells the story of Impact a Hero Weekend, which brings severely wounded military veterans from across the country to Houston for a weekend of festivities with the goal of honoring their sacrifices and helping them transition back to life following their traumatic injuries.
