For veterans with large amounts of shrapnel still in their bodies, severe burns, metal prosthetics, and post-traumatic stress disorder, getting through a security screening and the normal commercial-aviation process can be challenging and embarrassing. Due to their injuries, many veterans also cannot travel via automobile.
Watch the following video to learn how you can help wounded veterans heal emotionally and physically by donating the usage of your company's business aircraft or resources to help them attend life-changing events in their honor as well as medical appointments throughout the year. The video tells the story of Impact a Hero Weekend, which brings severely wounded military veterans from across the country to Houston for a weekend of festivities with the goal of honoring their sacrifices and helping them transition back to life following their traumatic injuries.
Impact a Hero provides immediate and ongoing emotional and financial support for our severely-wounded post-9/11 combat veterans and their families.
Under the official non-profit entity Impact Player Partners, Impact A Hero gives individuals and corporations a simple mechanism for providing maximum impact to those who have sacrificed for our freedoms.
For the last six years, Universal® has donated the use of its business aircraft to transport wounded veterans to Impact a Hero Weekend, but more planes are needed. If you would like to join us in thanking our wounded veterans for their service by donating the use of your business aircraft to help transport them to Impact a Hero events or medical appointments through Operation Mend, please complete the form below.
Your tax-deductible financial contribution will be used to cover expenses of Impact a Hero events and programs, ensuring wounded veterans and their families are treated as first-class VIPs and given the recognition, support, and honor they deserve.
