America's Wounded Heroes Need Business Aviation

Imagine waking up every day without one or more of your limbs, with severe burns, or even being paralyzed. For thousands of severely wounded veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, these new physical realities will be with them for the rest of their lives. Adjusting to their new circumstances and transitioning back into society after months, and in some cases years, spent in hospitals and treatment facilities can be overwhelming.

Helping ease that transition is Impact Player Partners, a non-partisan 501(c) (3) organization, which provides a simple way for individuals and corporations to give emotional and financial support to wounded veterans and their families. Impact Player Partners' support to wounded veterans includes helping pay for everyday living expenses, medical bills, retrofitting houses to meet their needs post-injury, and hosting special events that allow the community to honor their sacrifices.

Business aviation's support helps change lives

There are two primary ways business aviation can help support Impact Player Partners.

Donate your business aircraft

For veterans with large amounts of shrapnel still in their bodies, severe burns, metal prosthetics, and post-traumatic stress disorder, getting through a security screening and the normal commercial-aviation process can be challenging and embarrassing. Due to their injuries, many veterans also cannot travel via automobile.

As Impact Player Partners continues to grow and serve more wounded veterans, there is an increased demand for additional business-aircraft donations to help those veterans comfortably attend special events and medical appointments. You can help wounded veterans heal emotionally and physically by donating the usage of your company's business aircraft to fly veterans to Impact a Hero Weekend in June, or on an as-needed basis to medical appointments throughout the year as part of Operation Mend, a program that provides no-cost plastic and reconstructive surgeries.
